This website and most of the material on it is copyright and thus protected by the Copyright Act 1968 of the Commonwealth of Australia or by international copyright conventions. Copyright/moral rights law is very complex and constantly evolving. Screen Australia can assist you in determining the copyright status and holder of specific material in our archive. In some cases, you may need to obtain written permission from people or institutions other than Screen Australia before we can supply the material, or there may be restrictions as to how the material can be used. Please contact Screen Australia Library for further information. Other Terms and Conditions
Screen Australia must be acknowledged in the credits of productions when using material supplied by the Screen Australia Library as "Footage supplied by Screen Australia" or as otherwise agreed. Material is licensed on a non-exclusive basis, for one use in one production as specified in the Licence Agreement. Uses outside those expressed in the Licence Agreement require the permission of the Screen Australia Library. On completion of the client's project, master material provided by the Screen Australia Library must be erased. Clients are liable for any damage or loss incurred to Screen Australia Library's material whilst in their possession. A non-refundable minimum licence fee is payable on supply of the material on broadcast-quality format. The Licensee shall be responsible for all transfer costs, freight, couriers and customs duties in respect of their copied master material. All prices quoted are in Australian dollars. Australian residents are subject to 10 per cent Goods and Services Tax (GST). Goods exported out of Australia are GST free. Zero-Fee Licensing
Some Australian independent documentary makers may be able to license material from the Screen Australia Library without paying a licence fee. See Zero-Fee Licensing for more information about eligibility and specific terms and conditions. |
