They represent merely a fraction of our extensive, high-quality archive.

The Screen Australia Library is one of the largest and most historically significant sources of archival, documentary and stock footage in the country, representing almost 100 years of filmmaking on behalf of the Australian Government.

In addition to film, video and sound recordings, there are more than 100,000 still images in our library and it’s growing all the time.

This vast collection of negatives, prints, transparencies and digital files is constantly being updated with material from each new National Interest Program production, reflecting Australian life from the early 20th century to the present day.
